Honoring 25 Years
This 2,400-square-foot EMC garage was designed and built for Stewart Transport to safeguard the company's 25th-anniversary show truck — a symbol of craftsmanship, pride, and more than two decades of excellence on the road.
The new facility provides secure, climate-controlled protection for the truck while maintaining the functionality needed for ongoing maintenance and display. Every detail of the project reflects the same commitment to quality and precision that defines both Stewart Transport and KGM Builders.
Challenges Encountered:
Due to challenging expansive soil conditions, our team pivoted quickly to implement engineered solutions that maintained the project's integrity and schedule. Through close coordination with our geotechnical and civil partners, we stabilized the foundation system and kept construction on track — all while meeting and exceeding client expectations.
Improvement Initiatives:
Our team successfully overcame expansive soil conditions by recalibrating the footing elevations and foundation slab thickness to ensure the structure could safely support the weight of the new garage. In addition, we adjusted the foundation slope to promote proper drainage, preventing future settlement or water-related issues and maintaining long-term durability.
